The external "plug-in" port for your electric vehicle's onboard battery charger.
It bridges the gap between a standard household extension cord and the vehicle's internal electrical system.
It provides a safe, standard male plug receptacle on the outside of the vehicle body where you can plug in a 120-volt extension cord.
The "sealed" design includes a protective flip-top rubber cap. This keeps dirt, debris, rain, and wash-water out of the electrical prongs when the vehicle is driven or parked outside.
The back of the inlet is wired directly to the vehicle's onboard battery charger, allowing current to flow safely from the wall outlet into the charger to fill the battery pack.
